The Farms:  Under Development

In olden times (1600-1700’s) Pirbright was an agricultural community.  There were 7 farms in our area:

​

  • Hockford Farm

  • Bullswater Farm

  • Hogleys Farm

  • Bakersgate

  • Whites Farm

  • Pullens

  • Tods

 

Of these only the first 5 survive (the other 2 have been demolished and replaced by bigger structures).

Each of these farms is covered in some detail on the relevant page (for example, Hockford Farm is covered in the Ash Road section).  So this page will restrict itself to making some overall observations on the farms.
